Working through some personal feelings of loss…..this quilt by my close friend…Laura Baumgardner gave me a couple of hours of lighthearted quilting…..had so much fun💕🐱💕💕💖

Sharing the Bargello quilt made by my good friend….she gave me the opportunity to quilt it. … I am pleased with the final design.The quilt has a black border which was a little difficult to photograph to share the feather quilting design….hence the second photo….

Sharing a quick glance to another quilt I have the opportunity to quilt for a good friend… will share the complete quilt when it is finished….loving this crazy thing we call free motion quilting.  😊😊😊💕💕

Just finished my friend Laura’s quilt  sharing overall effect and up close quilting in borders…..getting another one  ready for quilting…..moving right along…since the weather is not great it gives me time to get caught up……where is the Sun?🌞

Trying to begin the new year on the right foot….quilting some quilts for a close friend……..flannel on the left all free motion and making use of rulers on the quilt to the right…along with free motion….enjoying what is happening so far…..😊😊😊😊…hoping to complete all that is “in house” this month…….Happy 2016…..

This week was a full one but what a wonderful one.  Monday was a class for the seasonal mantle runner…..students chose patriotic themes as well as holiday themes….

Wednesday’s  class was the Feathers Class ….these students were definitely up for the challenge…👍

Friday’s Class was ruler work  on the Q20 sitdown Longarm machine….a day full of new ideas to use the endless amount of rulers on the market…..students learned various ways to use these rulers…….

Today’s class was one of my favorite technique classes…In this class students learn to transition different filler designs to create a flawless background design…..this technique will enhance any quilt that has negative space to fill….

Thank you to all my students this week…you make my decision to teach such an easy choice……I am so grateful to be able to do what I love……looking forward to sharing many more ideas with you………Laura C.😊😊😊😊…..now back to the sewing machine….

 

 

 

Sharing just a quick glimpse of a few quilting friends from this weekend’s  retreat … it seems lately  I pass through the lives of my friends so quickly now … our lives have become so full …I am already looking forward to our next retreat …  to create new memories… I am so grateful  for longtime friendships…..
