My son Jonathan gave me this lovely orchid last Mother’s Day…..not knowing too much about orchids …..I watered and ignored……this lovely flower started reblooming on December 28th this past year….this is how it currently looks….another Mother’s Day surprise?😊😊💕💕💕learning to love orchids….especially from my children…#loveorchids…..

Thought I would share how I finished this lovely quilt…..opted for a simple swag inner border and a feather outer border…you can never go wrong with feathers….the red thread I think complements the overall look but a little subtle for a good photo..😔😔another one in the books…..

Sharing another finished quilt…this one pieced by good friend Sharon ……she did a beautiful job piecing this one including fussy cutting the red and white fabric for her setting blocks…..I needed to quilt to enhance and not take away from the fabric…..enjoyed how it turned out….😊😊💕💕💕. Finished another quilt for a fellow quilt guild member…..loved the subtle tones in this quilt in shades of blues,creams,greens and browns….so I chose to quilt an organic plume meander as an all over design…..enjoyed this one very much and pleased how it came out..😊💕 hoping she likes it as much as I do….#freemotionquilting

Just sharing that the quarter of classes are now updated on the class schedule page….up through July……..three brand new classes have been added…a ruler class,a borders class and a project based class-a quilted bed runner……maybe you as a student will find something  you like😊😊. …….see you in class…..#freemotionquilting 

Sharing the progression on the quilted bed runner class project….you can just make a pillow, table runner…….you decide…I love the detail in textural designs but you as a quilting student can choose how far you want to take this….😊😊😊💕 I have  much more work to do but am enjoying how this one is coming together…… will keep you posted with final design……watch for details for my June 1st class @ Hoover’s Bernina Sew……Mifflinburg, PA   #freemotionquilting

Sharing my teachers sample for my borders class on May 12….sketched out in blue line markker with numerous design possibilities……students will learn how to breakdown measurement issues, how to treat corners and a whole lot more….will use this practice cloth to actually demonstrate for students in class…..should prove to be a fun class with useful information for free motion quilters as well as machine quilters that like a more structured format…….see you there….class will be offered @ Hoovers Bernina Sew in Mifflinburg, PA…

Finishing this sweet Redwork  quilt for good friend Martha….had to put a ribbon candy border…who didn’t love ribbon candy from Christmas past? And this was my first quilt to try my rulers in the border…simple design but loved using them…..Thanks from http://www.thequiltedpineapple.com…….on to my teaching  samples for next three classes…a ruler class for domestic machines,Quilt borders class using rulers,freemotion, and a project based class-a quilted Bedrunner…….then on to more quilts in house for friends…..😊😊
